Our Organization

A Day Against Hunger Inc. is a PA based nonprofit organization supporting existing homeless feeding programs. Our year-round fundraising activities culminate in the A Day Against Hunger event each year on May 1. A Day Against Hunger is a time for people to come together in an effort to give money towards alleviating hunger for many individuals in need starting in the United States. Eventually, we hope to spread the program throughout the world.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise enough funds to purchase essential supplies to support the feeding function of existing nonprofit organizations who actively feed the homeless on a regular basis. We do not give monetary grants to organizations. Instead, we provide resources in the form of necessary supplies to support the organizations' feeding programs; to grow their program and to keep them running smoothly. By taking such an approach, those who choose to donate funds to A Day Against Hunger can be assured that the money you donate will be used to feed the hungry and impoverished.

As tough as the current recession is on all of us, the homeless have it even tougher. We challenge you to take a stand against homelessness by donating at least $1.00 on one day of the year...May 1.
